Partnership with Parents
Settling In
Our settling in sessions are free and as all children are individuals, our settling in procedure is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of your child, to ensure that they are happy and comfortable to be left in the nursery.
Key Person
Each child is assigned a key person who will work in partnership with you and will record your child’s interests, achievements and development in a Learning Journey, to which you are encouraged to contribute with news and activities your child does at home. Your child’s Learning Journal can always be accessed by you.
Parents Meetings
We hold parents evenings throughout the year to discuss your child’s progress and also informal parent meetings, termly, where ideas can be shared and issues discussed.
Community Partnerships
We have links with the village mother and toddler group, the Nine O’clock Club, and we regularly arrange visits. We also work in partnership with our primary school, sharing expertise and story time sessions with the Foundation Class in the spring and summer terms. Before starting school the children have a week of taster sessions which helps to make transition to school easier.
We are open five days a week
Monday – Friday 8.30am-3.30pm for over 15-30 Children and
Monday – Friday 9am -3pm for the 15 and under hours children.
